Advice on combating swine flu

Minimise exposure

Maximise your immune responsiveness

The virus is transmitted through aerosol vapours from coughing & sneezing. Droplets can persist for several days on surfaces e.g. handrails, phones etc, so washing hands is good practice. The virus has a particular "liking" for throat & lungs, take special note if you have a history of illness in those areas.

Age: The young have immature immunity The old have more "tired" immunity
Sleep:Repair & restoration. Get plenty
Nutrition:Good food & appropriate vitamins & minerals
Exercise:Immune system improves for good muscle tone, lymphatic flow & cellular oxygenation.
Hydration:Cells are 80% water, drink water: Alcohol, salty foods & caffeine all de-hydrate. Hydration improves mucous linings ability to trap viruses.
Stress:lowers immunity

Keep yourself in the peak, viruses mutate by swapping viral DNA with similar viruses. The swine flu mutates very easily & rapidly, so work on making yourself a bad home for it!
