What can we do for you? Why choose Functional Medicine as a route to balanced health? How does it compare with the orthodox approach?

To answer these questions one needs to look at the background to Natural or Functional Medicine (F.M.). The basis is holistic, not just looking at the affected organ or specific disease but at the background and possible causes: virus? bacteria? fungal? genetic? constitutional? mental or physical stress? trauma? We are looking to fit the puzzle of background information into the matrix of presenting symptoms to arrive at a lasting solution, not simply addressing the presenting pain, rash or illness.

Many diagnostic techniques in F.M. are the same as orthodox medicine, plus we use electro-resistance testing, darkfield microscopy (live blood analysis) and pulse taking and tongue analysis as per Chinese/Japanese medicine, to arrive at more constitutional information and more depth in terms of the individual personality and system.

To give you an idea of some of the areas covered, here is a list of the typical areas that we treat. Do call to check on more information.
