Newsletter 2010-2011
At the leading edge of natural medicine.
Dear Friends,
This year the newsletter is a lot later than usual, mainly due to the long wait imposed on all of us,
by the government, as regards levels of V.A.T. etc and the resultant effect on the price of everything.
I am determined to continue, to bring the best of natural medicine to serve you, achieving positive energy
and outcomes, despite the state of the world. I hold to the vision, that the Clinic and what it does, acts as a
battery to provide energy and uplift to those who come. A re-charging point and source of enhancement,
to better handle the daily life.
I set out this review to remind my good friends, who I have not seen for a while, that we are
still very much alive and kicking, for those whom I currently serve, to keep them up to date
with developments and plans for the clinic.
The re-jig to our appointments system, creating a dedicated orthopaedics room, with the testing and
bioresonance side in separate rooms has been a good initiative. Time delays have been lessened despite
the efforts of the junction 11 road works to lead people in all directions but the right one!
I was, as a lot of you know, the first full time acupuncturist in Reading. I still find it a real
thrill to see people change and benefit from what it can do, adding Homeopathy and bioresonance to
the mix has also allowed a further level of enhancement to take place. I believe we can always do better,
so I am always on the lookout for improvement. You may remember from last year, that I have taken on the
EIS system for organ and physiological scanning, well, that system which was excellent to start with, has
been upgraded since we last met in the newsletter, the system now scans the speed at which the signal
travels through tissue, thereby giving a reading of density as well, which can point out potential difficulties.
The EIS also gives a micro nutrition print out based on the physiological analysis of the organs, which has an
interesting spin-off, a great help in losing weight, an EIS health scan could make a most worthwhile present for
someone you care about. We have gift vouchers for sale for this and all treatments. The whole issue of weight,
metabolism, glycaemic index and the process of time going by !!!!! is very much at the forefront of the latest
work I am doing at the Rosedale.
I would like to set out some of the parameters, which I have included in the Regenerator programme, How do
we stay as energetic, healthy and long lived as possible? Can we make that longer life as full as possible?
Do we have to slow down until we grind to a halt? So, let's see what we can do about it, maximise the potential
of your genetic code, okay, so we can't stay 35 for 100 years, but we can certainly do the next best thing.
Firstly, keep your "filters" as clear and cleansed as possible, Kidneys, Liver, Gut etc try not to batter
them to submission with loads of toxic material. Drink plenty of water, green tea, cut alcohol way down
and be mindful of the impact of sugars on the system.
Blood glucose levels play a crucial role in determining how long you will live, levels that are
too high cause all sorts of damage, eyesight, muscle weakness, diabetes etc The fact that
many people are longer lived these days, the 2nd World War generation, is mainly down to the
fact, that from childhood they did not indulge in the sugary lifestyle, Compared with today's
youngsters, many of whom carry too much weight, the older generation did not have access
to a " rubbish " diet. One 93 year old that I treat, who is lean as a whippet, says " I simply stick
to the rule of eating half what you feel you need " that trains the system to the right insulin
response to keep the metabolism on track. I plan to make this kind of approach very much
part of what we do here as a cornerstone of building better health for the young and our older
people. The general principal of shedding abdominal weight is a good one, many things in
our diet create the conditions ripe for degenerative disease, There is no doubt, that humans
are basically sensitive to the products of the cow, lowered levels of dairy produce appear to
correlate well, with decreased risk of breast, colon and prostate dysfunction even cancers.
Increasing soya, green tea, grapes, all help to clear the filters and cut down the main source
of irritation to organs and joints namely inflammation. The whole process will be incorporated
in The Regenerator programme this coming year. I shall be doing basic and level 2 meditation
days before the end of 2010 and in February 2011, please keep an eye on the notice board
and the desk will have the dates as well. The format will be as before, a Saturday morning,
10-12. Lots of people say they have found the" Meditation toolbox", helpful.
The last section of the newsletter is about the infrastructure, There has been no increase
in fees for three and a half years, I always do all I can to provide the best service for the
lowest possible cost, as you know I'm sure, however I have invested heavily in the practice
and continue to do so, I have the best staff and invest in them, so we need to increase fees
a little. I am also like vets, registered for VAT so that goes out of your fee before we start on
running the clinic. The current cost per treatment is £40 inc £5.96 VAT which leaves the clinic
with £34.04. The new fee (from 25/10/10) will be £45. In January when VAT goes up 20% the
component will be £7.50, leaving the clinic £37.50. Therefore the net rise will be £3.46. The
medicines have not, for a 30ml bottle, gone up in the last 12 years!!!!!!!!!!! by dint of bulk
buying and negotiation, however in the last 2 years we have had between 20/38% rises which
I cannot carry or bury an longer!! I do my best!! They go up by £2 to breakeven point.
All our costs are carefully monitored, however, even the cost of disposable needles has gone
up a lot in the last 3 years!!!!!!!!! and our equipment is all very costly to purchase and maintain.
I do feel that it is an unfair situation, that state registered practitioners such as doctors, physios
and osteopaths do not have to pay VAT whereas we, as yet unregistered by state statute are
treated differently! We are working towards state registration, but it is a little way off yet so
for the moment we are slammed with large extra taxation. I always do my best to be aware
of people's needs, so if there is a personal financial difficulty please talk to me in person. The
last bit to do with finance is a question, do you want us to do debit and credit cards? Please
let us know. The rest of the clinic has seen expansion with our "Body talk" therapist, Eloise,
now in residence. We all want to bring you the best of natural therapy in the coming months,
plenty of ideas and forward energy.
Kind regards
Chris Boardman
